The League has spoken: Comic Books

league logo Last week, the League of Extraordinary Bloggers was asked to write about comic books. Sure, it was a broad topic, but those are the ones that usually generate the most interesting results and the highest number of contributions. The League did not disappoint. Check out this incredible response…

And the winner is…

Wow! The response this week was incredible and as promised, I have selected one lucky winner, who will receive a small stack of awful comics from my own dwindling collection. I was really drawn to all the personal origin stories explaining how League members got involved in comics, like those by Calvin, Erik, Shawn, Tim (switchblade combs!), Stunt Zombie, Team Hellions, Classick, and others, but there can only be one winner, and that is:  Miss M from the Diary of a Dorkette. I think if you read her article, you’ll see why.

Congratulations, Miss M! I’ll send some really bad comics to you soon!

Remember, to stay a League member in good standing, you should add some links to your fellow League members in your post to help spread the love. I’ll post the new topic later today!

Don’t forget, if you sign up for the Cool & Collected email newsletter, you will get a reminder on Mondays about the new League topic.

If you’re playing along at home and want to join the League, all you need is a love of pop culture and a blog. Come join the fun, and tell your friends!

A worthy winner. It’s always fun talking about action figures or comic books with others who understand the impact they can have on both the young and old.

OMG no way. This is so cool! I am beyond honored to receive your stack of awful comics Brian! I really had a lot of fun writing this topic, I don’t think I have ever written that much about comics and what they mean to me before. I had a blast, and I also enjoyed reading other people’s articles too. I am really thrilled to be a part of the League, everyone is so cool and it is nice to belong to something like this. I hope everyone is doing well and having a nice start to the week.

Shoot! Just fixed the omission. I read your post this morning and loved it! Not sure how I neglected to add it to the list. A thousand apologies.
