This post may be of interest to only myself and a few other individuals, but it’s a slow news day.
Tonight the NFL season FINALLY begins and so does fantasy football. As I’ve mentioned previously, I am taking part in a fantasy league made up of fellow toy and pop culture bloggers called the Madball Football League. I’m looking forward to going head to head with some excellent bloggers in the quest for the trophy (and all those toys!).
The MFL held its draft last week and I think five of us were brave enough to select our own teams rather than let Yahoo pick three kickers for us. Here’s how the draft turned out…
There were some baffling moves made in the hours that followed, but I’m sure there’s a system in play, I just can’t figure it out.
I for one, welcome all the questionable moves, because they will just make it easier to obtain the ultimate prize pack which keeps growing…
In this first week, my team will be taking on Team Hellions. Alright Kevin, let’s see what you’ve got!
Tropical drinks on the beach > fantasy football. I tried to tear myself away for the draft, but drunk me was all THE WHISTLES GO WOO WOO!
At one point I was coherent enough to log in and watch as Yahoo worked its devil-magic as I scrambled to even understand what was happening, and then our extremely shitty internet cut out. Oh well. My team is in fate’s hands now, bwahahaha. It will be all the more poetic when I win.
Oh, I have no doubt that the winner of this league will be someone who has no idea what they’re doing.
Then that should be me.

Oooh I have the Toyota Best Draft award! Glad I had to work and let Yahoo pick for me, because I sure as hell don’t know what I’m doing!
Yep, Yahoo thinks they picked you the best team. I’d take it with a grain of salt.
Well, my friends on the most recent episode of the podcast felt that I am a fool. Then one of my picks was released. So I’m off to a great start. Did some tinkering and we’ll see what happens. I should find something to contribute to that prize pack too.
