Remco produced Hamilton’s Invaders toys and play sets in 1964, trying to cash in on the popularity of the giant insect genre of movies of the time. The large insect toys had pull-string motors that propelled them towards the poor blue plastic soldiers ineffectively armed with bazookas and machine guns. These toys are insanely rare, and finding them in the original packaging would be a life-long pursuit, but you’re in luck, because Hake’s has an amazing assortment of the original play sets up for bid in their current auction.
