Alright, I’ve scrounged around in the sofa cushions and raided my kid’s piggy bank — $18.34. I don’t think that’s going to be enough to bid on the copy of Detective Comics #27 up for auction at Heritage. The price currently stands at $425,000.00 which is a record for a comic book auction. Sure, Supes topped a million earlier this week, but that was a direct sale, not an auction. I wonder what it might have gone for if two people had been bidding on it.
