A Collection a Day #53 – The Old West, originally uploaded by Cool and Collected.
I have always thought I was born 20 years too late, since some of my favorite things are the old west and outer space — two things that enamored kids more than anything else in that era.
I love a good western, whether it’s in the form of an old pulp magazine or a feature film. I have shelves filled with Larry McMurtry novels and vintage paperbacks, and a stack of vintage western movie posters. I honestly don’t know why the old west appeals to me so much, but I’ll take a Clint Eastwood western over any movie in the theaters today.
I have collected so many different things that I thought it would be fun to try and photograph a collection a day and see how far I can get.
