Halloween is awesome, but for procrastinators like me, it can be stressful. I’m always scrambling for a costume at the last second, when the only costumes still available in my size are usually food products. Well, not this year! Here’s a list of pop culture costumes that you could throw together with items you probably already own — the lazy man’s way to win at Halloween in 2017!
Anyone could put together a Mr. Robot costume. Got a hoodie and a backpack? Blacken your eyes a bit and maybe throw in a laptop, and you’re set. If you really wanted to go crazy, you could get a Mr. Robot mask to complete the costume.
The entire cast of Netflix’s Stranger Things would make for a fun Halloween costume ensemble, but let’s be honest, we all want to be Eleven. The best part is that if you’re a 300lb dude with a shaved head and facial hair, you could still rock this costume. Tube socks, pink dress, jean jacket, and a box of Eggo waffles is all you need — couldn’t be easier!
Agent Coulson would be a pretty quick costume to throw together, assuming you own a suit and a pair of sunglasses. You could add a Bluetooth earpiece and really polish it off. If you have a bunch of friends who have spent tons of time on their Marvel superhero costumes, show up and support them as everyone’s favorite agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Sherlock Holmes has been seen stalking Halloweens for years. You might need to buy a Deerstalker hat, but you probably already own a wool coat and a scarf — an ideal costume if you live in a cold climate!
Everybody wants to be Leonard Hofstadter! The Big Bang Theory might not be the first idea that comes to mind for an awesome halloween costume, but at least it’s something! This is another costume that you might be able to pull off with a simple trip to the closet — just be prepared for people asking, “who are you supposed to be” all night.
Rick Grimes from AMC’s The Walking Dead is even easier to pull off now that he no longer wears his sheriff’s uniform. Don’t shave for a week, grease up your hair, and roll around in the mud for a few minutes you’re done.
So, this is just a few ideas for a last-minute lazy man’s Halloween costume. What other characters would be easy to dress up as for Halloween this year?
